I was barefoot wearing nothing but my shirt and underwear, yes, I’m aware the surrounding scenery is barren and lifeless. I was showing my big sis how my new fangled graduated filters and LEE RF-75 holder system worked over Christmas.

Where shit’s at, where I’ve thrown my money down, and why.

The camera market is pretty interesting at the moment, there’s a lot of choice out there, a lot of new products coming to the market, and a lot of different systems that stroke different folks in different ways.

I’ve been watching the mirrorless market intently for a little while, from the first little Pansonic and Olympus micro 4/3rds bodies, which seemed aimed squarely at compact users who wanted an upgrade and were scared of DSLR’s, to the current situation:

Shit just got real (pro).

The last six months have seen some product announcements the likes we’ve been begging for since the first little m4/3rds bodies came out. Give us some serious manual controls, some serious image quality that can stand firmly against the current crop of DSLR’s - us shooters will handle the rest.

Well, we’ve gotten that now, and from a few different vendors. Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, Fuji and now Pentax have crashed the mirrorless party with some serious shooters.
